SERAX Heritage & Philosophy

Founded in 1986 by brothers Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche, Serax began as a family-rooted design brand in Belgium and has since grown into an internationally recognised creative house. From the earliest days, the vision has been to merge thoughtful design with everyday utility, bringing contemporary homeware into spaces where people live, entertain and share moments.

Although SERAX has expanded its reach across tableware, lighting, home accessories and furniture, each piece remains anchored in accessibility, quality and functionality — a trio of principles that define the brand’s identity and influence every collection.

Creative Collaboration

Collaboration lies at the heart of SERAX’s design approach. Each collection is created in partnership with international designers and makers, resulting in objects with a clear identity and a distinctive design language. From established names to emerging voices, every collaboration brings a unique perspective while remaining true to SERAX’s overall aesthetic.

These collaborations result in collections that feel personal and expressive, designed to sit naturally within the home. Individual pieces are easy to combine across styles and settings, allowing spaces to evolve intuitively over time.

Craftsmanship & Purpose

Craftsmanship is central to the SERAX philosophy. Working closely with skilled artisans around the world, the brand reimagines traditional materials such as ceramic, glass, wood and metal with a contemporary sensibility. Each piece reflects care, tactility and attention to detail.

SEARX designs are made for everyday living. Objects are created not only to be visually pleasing, but to be used, handled and enjoyed daily. With an emphasis on durability and timeless form, each piece brings warmth and intention into the home, supporting daily rituals and moments of quiet appreciation.
